Founder, Denorth -- Boston & Reykjavik
Eggert Ragnarsson is a product designer and founder of Denorth, based between Boston and Reykjavik. He grew up in Husavik, Iceland, and moved to Reykjavik as a teenager where he started working in design. He later studied graphic design in Florence at Istituto Lorenzo de' Medici, and went on to teach web and motion design there, becoming one of the youngest instructors at the school.
After returning to Iceland, he joined the agency O! and later founded Denorth, working with a range of Icelandic companies on digital products and websites.
In 2010, America's Test Kitchen recruited him from Iceland and relocated him to Boston. As Art Director, he led digital design across their platforms, and later spent eight years at TripAdvisor. There, he led design for Flights and, following the acquisition of Bokun, became Creative Director for the platform.
In 2022, he relaunched Denorth, focusing on product design for SaaS platforms and digital services. His work includes collaborations with teams at Volvo, BrandRank, and Frimann, as well as building Ubezon, a delivery management platform.
Eggert is a dual US and Icelandic citizen and continues to work with clients in both the US and Europe.
